![]() I found that if you go into Windows Explorer, click on 'Computer' (in Windows 7) and go to the bottom left of the page, then click on the C: drive there (not the one in the center of the screen, but bottom left), you can then right click and go into the various settings adjustments for permissions, such as 'full control' which is the main big adjustment for what Administrator power supposedly has. Thats according to what I found yesterday. You can be assigned their rights, but not both. The way its designed, the Installer/Creator/Main User cannot 'also' be the Administrator. You must create an Administrator (for normal people) to be a full time Administrator. It has also made it easier to work with files and not worry about the UAC interfering.Īccording to what all I found yesterday, it is almost impossible. It has decreased time it takes to find things such as PDF's, Images, TXT files, Custom Notes for my references, installation files (I keep all installers), zip files (sorted by area of op, C:\Flight Simulation\XPlane\Scenery Editing\zips). I have found it much easier to organize based on this method. If I didnt have organization like this and non-limited access, I would be of no use here. I am in a constant state of organization, as I collect a looooot of software and files. Similar format for things that I use for realworld flight. Once I expand to Xplane I will add a subdirectory for each sim software such asĬ:\Flight Simulation\XPlane\Scenery EditingĬ:\Flight Simulation\FlightSim\Scenery EditingĬ:\Flight Simulation\FlightGear\Scenery EditingĬ:\Programming\(code language)\(program name) Everything else (10-15 programs) are installed inĬ:\Flight Simulation\General Editing (or modifications) I did this for all software except ADE, FSX FS9 and Sbuilber9.
